Sarah Centre @ trip to the Botanic Gardens

Finally got some time to upload some of the older photos taken during our service learning with Sarah Centre last year.

Enjoy!

Thank God for the nice cool weather and the pple - the girls from 23rd and 26th GB managed to put together a really fun morning of activities for the folks at Sarah Centre.

It started with a leisurely walk around the Botanic Gardens towards the National Orchid Garden. The folks were split into smaller groups and tagged with ribbons that the girls had prepared.

- Yiling and Sulivia tying the ribbons for the folks in their group.

(heh heh... "forced" them to take photos while waiting for the entry tickets to be purchased. These two folks were such good friends that they stuck to each other throughout the trip.)

Our destination was towards Burkhill hall at the centre of the Orchid garden.
the folks were very obliging and even though climbing the stairs must have taken them a lot of effort to get up to the top.
The plan:

- Two main groups due to space constraints: One involved in the games and song session while the other group get their hands dirty with Batik painting.

Most of us got the chance to try it out after helping the elderly folks with their painting!
(Yiling looking rather pleased with herself...)

- Wei En with an elderly folk and the volunteer worker Angeline from Sarah Centre

Tired but happy faces...

(try to imagine it being panoramic..) =)
